Job Description

The Fulfillment Specialist is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, systematically update tracking mechanisms, maintaining accurate inventory records, and supporting warehouse operations to ensure timely and efficient material flow. This position plays a key role in inventory accuracy, organization, and coordination between warehouse, production, purchasing, and customer service teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect, and verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders.
• Update tracking mechanisms for all product movement.
• Prepare and process outgoing shipments using approved carriers and shipping systems.
• Package products securely to prevent damage during transit.
• Load and unload trucks using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
• Coordinate shipment schedules with vendors, carriers, and internal departments.
• Maintain shipping and receiving documentation and records.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect materials to management promptly.
• Process RMA within 48 hours.
• Ensure compliance with company shipping procedures and safety regulations.
• Maintain accurate inventory levels through cycle counts and physical inventory audits.
• Update inventory transactions in ERP, Oracle, or warehouse management systems.
• Monitor inventory discrepancies and investigate variances.
• Organize warehouse locations for efficient storage and retrieval of materials.
• Label and track inventory accurately.
• Assist with inventory forecasting and replenishment activities.
• Ensure FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices are followed when applicable.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to inventory accuracy and warehouse efficiency.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA guidelines.
• Assist with warehouse organization and process improvements.
• Support production and operations teams with material requests and transfers.
• Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.

Essential Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to lift 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb ladder, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment safely.

Education & Experience:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years of shipping, receiving, warehouse, or inventory control experience preferred.
• Experience using ERP systems, Oracle, or inventory management software preferred.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Excel and data entry.
• Forklift certification preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Good spoken & written communication and problem-solving skills.
