The Fulfillment & Materials Planning Manager is responsible for end‑to‑end purchased material availability to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations and Clear to Build (CTB). This role owns supplier fulfillment execution, MRP parameter integrity and fulfillment operating cadence, while leading a team of Fulfillment Specialists and expeditors.

This is a highly visible leadership role that partners across material planning, procurement, engineering, operations, master scheduling, production control, transportation, and suppliers to proactively identify material readiness risks, execute mitigation plans, and communicate clear recovery actions across a complex and dynamic supply chain.

  • Manage & deliver summaries of CTB / material health risks across all product lines.
  • Support Critical Material Reviews (CMR), improving our cross-functional collaboration and tactical problem solving.
  • Clearly define standards of material escalation levels that serve as critical inputs to CMR cadences.
  • Own supplier fulfillment execution, including delivery performance, recovery commitments, and escalation management.
  • Ensure all MRP parameters (lead times, lot sizes, safety stock, replenishment signals) are accurate, confirmed, and maintained.
  • Leverage existing tools / systems (SAP, LeanDNA, PowerBI) to enable better analytics and team efficiency.
  • Provide data‑driven root‑cause analysis as critical inputs to material planning and procurement teams for corrective action.
  • Oversee communication between suppliers and transportation to ensure timely shipment execution and delivery follow‑up.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of fulfillment specialists, buyers, and expeditors.
  • Influence team culture through positive, high‑energy engagement and accountability.

How will you do it

  • Gain thorough understanding of business model, product lines and supply chain network.
  • Build cross-functional partnerships across material planning, procurement, engineering, operations, master scheduling & production control to improve accurate communication & drive best-possible solutions.
  • Apply data‑driven analytics through existing tools and systems to highlight key areas of opportunity.
  • Review and analyze Line of Balance (LOB) data by product line, supplier, and part number to assess supply‑demand alignment.
  • Establish standard fulfillment operating cadences, metrics, and escalation paths.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, or a related field and a minimum of 6 years of relevant functional experience; or an Associate’s degree in a related field with 10+ years of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience, including coaching, developing, and performance management of employees.
  • Demonstrated functional expertise in material fulfillment, logistics, or supply chain operations.
  • Proven ability to analyze supply and demand requirements, identify material risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Experience applying analytical tools, systems, and data-driven methodologies to improve operational efficiency and standardize processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external supply chain partners, while driving accountability for performance and delivery outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation capabilities; ability to engage credibly across all organizational levels.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the HVAC or manufacturing industry.
  • APICS certification (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) or equivalent supply chain certification.
