Voor ons Fuels Laboratory in Amsterdam zoeken wij een Laboratory Support Chemist. In deze functie ondersteun je de dagelijkse laboratoriumactiviteiten en draag je bij aan het optimaal functioneren van onze apparatuur, processen en kwaliteitsstandaarden. Je werkt samen met ervaren collega's en krijgt de kans om je technische en analytische vaardigheden verder te ontwikkelen.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden

• Ondersteunen bij onderhoud, kalibratie en controles van laboratoriumapparatuur.
• Assisteren bij het oplossen van technische storingen en operationele problemen.
• Ondersteunen bij de implementatie van analysemethoden en kwaliteitsprocessen.
• Beheren van chemicaliën, reagentia en laboratoriumverbruiksgoederen.
• Ondersteunen bij monsterlogistiek en afvalbeheer.
• Meewerken aan kwaliteitscontroles, audits en documentatie.
• Uitvoeren van laboratoriumanalyses volgens vastgelegde procedures.
• Bijdragen aan een veilige, efficiënte en nette werkomgeving.

Wie ben jij?

• Je hebt een afgeronde MLO-, HLO- of vergelijkbare opleiding in chemie of laboratoriumtechnologie.
• Je hebt bij voorkeur een eerste werkervaring in een laboratoriumomgeving, maar enthousiaste starters zijn eveneens welkom.
• Je hebt interesse in laboratoriumapparatuur, analytische technieken en kwaliteitsprocessen.
• Je werkt nauwkeurig, georganiseerd en proactief.
• Je beheerst het Nederlands en Engels goed.
• Je bent een teamspeler met een leergierige instelling.

For our Fuels Laboratory in Amsterdam, we are looking for a Laboratory Support Chemist. In this role, you will support daily laboratory operations and help ensure that our equipment, processes, and quality standards perform at their best. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will have the opportunity to develop your technical expertise and grow within an international organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Support maintenance, calibration, and routine checks of laboratory equipment.
• Assist in troubleshooting technical and operational issues.
• Support the implementation of analytical methods and quality processes.
• Manage laboratory chemicals, reagents, and consumables.
• Assist with sample logistics and waste management.
• Contribute to quality control activities, audits, and documentation.
• Perform laboratory analyses in accordance with established procedures.
• Help maintain a safe, efficient, and well-organised laboratory environment.

What We're Looking For

• An MLO, HLO, or equivalent qualification in Chemistry, Laboratory Science, or a related field.
• Some laboratory experience is preferred, but motivated graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Interest in laboratory equipment, analytical methods, and quality systems.
• A structured, accurate, and proactive approach to work.
• Good command of Dutch and English.
• A collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn.
