Job Description

Manage fuels products to meet the requirements of supported organizations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

· Perform dispatcher, expeditor, and safety person duties as required.

· Ensure inspection forms are properly maintained and annotated.

· Receive, store, transfer, and issue petroleum and cryogenic products in a safe manner.

· Inspect and perform preventive maintenance on fuel facilities and refueling equipment.

· Inventory assigned tanks and equipment and perform product rotation IAW DoD 4140.25M and DLA Energy policies.

· Comply with all safety procedures and all federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

· Maintain regular and punctual attendance.

· Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

· High School Diploma or GED required.

· Minimum of two (2) years of documented experience (military/civilian) in fuels operations, including preventive maintenance of fuel storage and dispensing systems, aircraft fueling, and ground fuel servicing operations.

· Thorough knowledge and a minimum of two (2) years of experience applying DOD, DLA Energy, and Air Force fuels management instructions and procedures.

· Must be able to obtain and retain a valid Class B Florida commercial driver’s license with HAZMAT endorsement and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier.

· Minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience in properties & characteristics of petroleum products; safety precautions; fuels automated system procedures, statistical methods, and procedures.

· Minimum of two (2) years of experience supporting fuels operational requirements and applying commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within fuels management operations

· Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

· Must obtain and maintain any necessary security access and/or background checks.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

· Ability to determine, analyze and properly respond during fuel exercises and emergency situations.

· Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook).

· Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Highly organized and flexible.

· Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position is available as either one (1) full-time or one (1) part-time opening. Employees may be required to work additional hours as needed to complete assignments or projects.

TRAVEL

None.

DRIVING REQUIREMENTS

Position consists of driving to refuel vehicles and aircraft on the flightline and picking up the company pickup truck on occasion. A Class B CDL is required. Must obtain and maintain a valid driver’s license and be insurable by the company’s insurance carrier.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in both a professional office setting and outdoor environments with uneven surfaces and/or restricted areas requiring PPE. Work may be performed outdoors in adverse conditions including inclement weather such as high humidity, heat, cold, high wind, rain, and various local conditions. Katmai strictly adheres to the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities, and abilities.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Position consists of moderate to extended periods of office work with heavy periods of computer usage and moderate periods of outdoor environment. Frequently uses hands/fingers to work with hand tools and small powered tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, wire cutters, and pliers. Moderate to extensive periods of walking, standing, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, twisting, reaching, lifting, and carrying up to an excess of 50 pounds.   • Pay: $39.40 per hour
