Monitor the inventory of diesel fuel in storage and operate fuel truck to safely transport and deliver fuel to the North Slope Borough facilities and residents.

Maintain all North Slope Borough fuel storage facilities.
Perform daily inspections of North Slope Borough fuel storage facilities.
Deliver diesel fuel to North Slope Borough fuel storage facilities and residential homes.
Keep accurate records of fuel deliveries.
Perform weekly inventory of North Slope Borough fuel storage facilities.
Maintain oil spill response kits and assists with deployment, installation, removal, or other use of spill
response equipment and materials.
Maybe required to be on 24-hour call.
Handle collections of delivery fees upon delivery.
Maintain records and documents of bills produced.
May be required to work a rotational schedule working with alternate.
Will be required to travel to the villages.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of North Slope Borough organization, operations, policies and procedures.
High school graduate or G.E.D/or a combination of 12 years of education and related work experience.
Minimum of 1 year of work experience relating to fuel operations.
Required to obtain Incident Command System (IS) 100, IS 200, IS 700 and IS 800;
Required to obtain CPR, AED, and Basic First Aid Certifications;
Valid Alaska Commercial Driver’s License with X endorsement that meets North Slope Borough insurance criteria.
Ability to obtain site-specific Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) training in accordance with 40 C.F.R. § 265.16 within the probationary period.
Ability to obtain Hazardous Waste and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) current certification within the probationary period.
Ability to obtain Small Quantity Handler training in accordance with 40 C.F.R. § 273.16 within the probationary period.
Ability to obtain site-specific Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) training in accordance with 40 C.F.R. 112.7 (f)(1)(2) and (3) within the probationary period.

We work closely with the oil industry, state, and federal agencies to make sure that everyone can benefit from the resource wealth of this region without sacrificing the natural gifts that have sustained Iñupiat culture for thousands of years.
The people of the Arctic have survived in one of the world's harshest climates through our ability to adapt. We adapted to the discovery of oil in our traditional homeland by forming the North Slope Borough. Our borough has offered local residents a chance to help manage our lands and participate in the benefits of the oil boom. Through the borough, we have been able to enjoy the advantages of the modern world at the same time as we protect the subsistence values we hold dear.
