Aviation Fuel Logistics Specialist (Customer Service)

Location: San José, Costa Rica

About the Role

As a Fuel Logistics Specialist, you will sit at the core of World Fuel’s global aviation operation. The Global Fuel Logistics team is one of our strongest competitive advantages—combining customer service, sales support, and operational coordination for our worldwide customer base.

This fast-paced role is ideal for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, enjoy problem-solving, and excel at supporting customers with professionalism and urgency.

What You Will Do

In this role, you will manage a wide range of activities, including:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to aviation clients around the world
  • Handling high volumes of phone calls and emails daily
  • Monitoring global fuel availability and responding quickly to shortages or supply changes
  • Coordinating closely with Sales, Credit, Collections, Supply, Billing, and other internal teams
  • Supporting relationship-building with prospective customers alongside senior team members
  • Supporting customer accounts and identifying opportunities to enhance service and account performance
  • Understanding diverse customer needs with cultural awareness and empathy

What You Bring

  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service, sales support, operations coordination, or a fast‑paced administrative role (aviation experience preferred).

  • A proactive, “can-do” customer service mindset

  • Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with customers globally

  • Ability to manage a fast-paced workload and prioritise effectively

  • Comfortable with proactive customer communication, including outbound outreach when needed
  • Cultural awareness and the ability to connect with different types of aircraft operators
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Desire to grow and develop within a global aviation organization

Additional Requirements

  • Fluent English (required)
  • Spanish (required)
  • Portuguese or additional languages (a plus)
  • Flexibility to support global operations across multiple time zones, including shift-based schedules where required
