The Fuel Inventory Analyst is responsible for day-to-day fuel inventory control, ordering and delivery logistics.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for analyzing in ground fuel inventory at all locations to ensure adequate fuel supply to satisfy customer demand without risking run-out.
  • Analyzes and controls average days on hand to decrease capital tied to inventory.
  • Utilizes best practice fuel management by watching market swings and terminal runouts.
  • Utilizes fuel management system to build and dispatch loads by supplier pricing and contract obligations.
  • Simplifies load dispatching and increase load efficiency to minimize short and split loads.
  • Utilizes industry leading market data software to analyze pricing and build required real-time and historical data spreadsheets.
  • Responsible for resolving all day-to-day fuel supply questions from locations and suppliers.
  • Responsible for resolving emergency fuel issues with urgency and tact.
  • Interprets and implements specific strategies from reporting data for seasonal or holiday trends.
  • Reconciles day-to-day inventory discrepancies.
  • Provides friendly and competent customer service.
  • Reports for work in a timely manner when scheduled.
  • Interprets data and analyzes results using statistical techniques.
  • Develops and implements data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality database integrity.
  • Ability to work and respond to phone calls outside of normal office hours when required and on a regular basis.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics or closely related field.
  • Two to four years of experience in data analytics is preferred.
  • Strong mathematical ability and spreadsheet development skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Must have a willingness to learn the fuel business, understand fuel inventory management, ordering, and mathematical ability.
  • Superior knowledge and skill of working with Microsoft Excel.
  • Computer, software, communication skills are critical.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Adept at queries, report writing and presenting findings.
  • Must be able to communicate in English. – IF APPLICABLE.
  • Able and willing to deliver friendly, courteous, and prompt customer service.
  • Able and willing to work cooperatively with other team members.

  • Phyisical attendance at the primary work location is required.
