Reporting to the Site Manager, responsibilities for this position include the following:
To deliver Ag and bulk petroleum products to customers as directed, including but not limited to: petroleum and petroleum products, equipment, farm hardware, and crop inputs.
To provide information, assistance and service to customers in a manner which will promote the sale of petroleum products, and ag merchandise and meet the needs, requirements and expectations of the consumer.
To assist in the preparation of orders for delivery as required
To collect payments for C.O.D. deliveries and to account for such payments daily.
To maintain a daily driver’s log of inventory and deliveries made as per TDG regulations.
To carry out all necessary end of day procedures and administrative requirements
To be responsible for the care, appearance, and washing of the truck, and to report to the supervisor any repairs that may be required.
To observe all safety precautions in order to minimize hazardous delivery and working conditions as per OH&S regulations.
To maintain a good standard of appearance and personal hygiene, to obtain clean uniforms on a regular basis as provided and to wear appropriate safety equipment as required.
To maintain a constant alert against the unauthorized removal of merchandise.
When not delivering product, to report back to the appropriate Ag site manager to assist with operational and customer service duties as required.
To adhere to all Saskatoon Co-op Policy & Procedures
To perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Applicants must be strongly service-oriented and motivated, and capable of serving and assisting customers in a courteous and efficient manner.
Applicants must be prepared to increase product knowledge and improve selling techniques through special courses, product clinics and training sessions.
Applicants must possess sufficient experience and knowledge of petroleum and agro products to effectively operate in all areas of the department.
Applicants must possess a valid Class 1A with 3 years related experience and have a safe driving record, Driver Abstract must be provided.
Applicants must be mechanically inclined and capable of light maintenance work on delivery units
Must have the demonstrated ability to fulfill physical job requirements including: lifting and unloading heavy objects and the ability to climb ladders.
Must be able to work mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.
