Job Category: Helms CollegeHelms College is seeking a dedicated Multi-Skilled Medical Assistant (MSMA) Instructor to deliver high-quality instruction to students preparing for careers in the healthcare field. This is a full-time, 52-week, campus-based position requiring a Monday through Friday schedule. Typical work hours fall between 8 AM to 5 PM, with an occasional Saturday event such as graduation, job fairs, and skills workshops.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about student success and bring both clinical expertise and real-world experience from a medical office setting. This role plays a key part in preparing students for industry certification, job readiness, and ethical service in healthcare environments.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging instruction in accordance with the approved MSMA curriculum
- Maintain classroom and clinical lab environments that promote hands-on learning
- Provide regular feedback, guidance, and support to students
- Participate in campus events such as open houses, graduation, and student enrichment activities
- Maintain accurate attendance, grading, and student records
- Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and a commitment to Helms College’s mission
- Ensure compliance with institutional, accreditation, and industry standards
- Collaborate with faculty and staff to support student retention and completion

Qualifications
-  Graduate of an accredited medical program, having earned a certificate, diploma, or degree
-  Three (3) years of recent experience in a medical facility
-  Must be certified or registered (CMA, RMA, or CCMA, RN, LPN, BSN), or able to obtain certification within 90 days of hire
-  Availability to work Monday through Friday, plus occasional Saturdays
-  Strong communication skills and a sincere passion for helping students achieve their goals

Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or higher in a healthcare-related field
- Experience working in a medical office setting (e.g., front desk, clinical support, patient coordination)
- Prior teaching or training experience (formal or informal)
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and career readiness practices
