Immanuel Communities is seeking an experienced Full-time Cook to work at Deerfield, located at 13731 Hickman Road, Urbandale, IA 50323. Deerfield is a senior retirement and care community with 122 independent living apartment homes, 32 independent living patio homes, 20 assisted living, 24 residential care apartment homes and 30 long-term care/skilled nursing suites.

We are looking for an experienced cook who can work a variety of 8:00am-4:30pm and 10:30am-7:30pm shifts with weekends and holidays required, so availability to work a flexible schedule is essential.

This position will pay up to $19.68/hour + $1,000 Hiring Bonus (conditions apply)*. Pay will be based upon experience, certifications, skills and education.

Job Duties & Skills Required

What You Will Do

The responsibilities of this job include all types of food preparation, including but not limited to baking, grilling, stove-top and oven cooking; and cleaning the kitchen. Additionally, assists in any duty as needed in the kitchen area

Skills & Requirements

High School Diploma/GED is required.

One (1) year of cooking experience beyond the level of fast food/fast casual is required.

Minimum age of 18 is required.
