Job Description

Provide direct care to resident and ensure that the needs of each resident are met in accordance with all laws, regulations and standards of the Luther Ridge, a subsidiary of Ascentria Care Alliance. Position is pd as needed.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct resident care utilizing established standard procedures. Assist residents with medication checks and reminders. Report any medication issues to the nurse.
  • Responsible for reporting any unusual resident signs and symptoms to nurse in charge.
  • Complete and document assigned temps and weights of residents.
  • Accurately document on resident flow sheet each shift.
  • Make safety rounds at the beginning and end of each shift.
  • Serve meal trays/monitor dining areas during mealtimes.
  • Be aware of and promote Resident’s Rights and Quality of Life issues.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident information.
  • Complete extra assignments to keep the facility clean and orderly.
  • Attend appropriate meetings, in-service programs and yearly mandatory educational programs.
  • Fulfill in-service requirement to maintain certification as a nursing assistant.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant with current State certification required.
  • Prior experience with geriatrics preferred.
  • Ability to bathe and dress residents.
