Position Title: FT Assistant Football Coach – Offensive Coordinator
Department: Athletics
Title of Immediate Supervisor: Head Football Coach
Funded Term / Work Cycle: 12 months; Full-time
Expected Daily Work Hours: 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Expected Weekly Work Schedule: Monday – Friday; Evenings, weekends, travel, and extended hours required during the season
Pay Grade: 4S
Starting Salary Expectations: $32,000 - $34,000, with starting salary determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and demonstrated competencies.

Position Purpose
Assists the Head Coach in carrying out all assigned and auxiliary duties of the football program; specifically, coordinating offensive preparation and daily development of assigned position group.

- Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university.
Experience required to ensure success in this position:
- Minimum three years of coaching experience required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Leadership and Collaboration:
- Assist in the recruiting of all potential student-athletes
- Establishes good rapport and generates respect among students, campus colleagues, and the local community by conducting oneself in an ethical manner
- Coordinate the selection, training, and supervision of student assistants and managers
- Work with academic support staff in the monitoring of the academic progress of each student-athlete
- Attend as required all practices, meetings, and contests
Data, Technology, and Compliance
- Comply with NCAA, USA South Conference, and Athletic Department policies
- Assist in filing all reports relative to their sport, as assigned by the Head Coach
- Assist in video breakdown through Hudl
Stakeholder and Institutional Support
- Participates in college-sponsored or off-campus sports camps and coaching clinics with approval from the Athletic Director
- Serve as a Game Manager for select home athletic events
Operations and Technical Oversight
- Assist in the supervision, scheduling, and maintenance of facilities
- Assist in the organization and supervision of all off-campus trips, including being available for overnight travel
- Maintain office hours as assigned by the Head Coach
- Auxiliary duties may be assigned by the Head Coach and Athletic Director
Other:
- Other roles/duties will be assigned as necessary to assist the College in the attainment of the goals set forth and the enhancement of a positive, respectful learning environment for all staff, faculty, and students.

- Familiarity with the NCAA Division III philosophy, preferred.
License, Certification, or Registration Necessary:
- Valid Tennessee Driver’s license required or ability to obtain one within 30 days.
- Maintain MC transportation driving requirements for school fleet.
- Pass NCAA rules test yearly.
- Maintain First Aid & CPR/AED certification
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
- Ability to navigate campus/public buildings including athletic facilities.
- Must occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
- Professional office environment with interruptions and noise.
- Includes evening/weekend work and overnight/out-of-state travel
Ability to operate the following vehicles or equipment:
- Standard office equipment (computer, phone, etc.)
- College vehicles, vans, cars, carts as required.
