Electrical Draftsman – Job Description

Position:
Electrical Draftsman

Key Responsibilities:

• 
  Prepare detailed electrical drawings using
  AutoCAD and/or Revit MEP
  .
• 
  Prepare
  lighting, power, cable tray, containment, and low-current layouts
  .
• 
  Prepare single-line diagrams (SLD), schematic diagrams, and electrical layouts.
• 
  Develop electrical shop drawings based on project specifications and consultant requirements.
• 
  Coordinate electrical drawings with
  HVAC, plumbing, architectural, and structural drawings
  .
• 
  Make revisions according to consultant/client comments.
• 
  Prepare as-built drawings and update drawings based on site changes.
• 
  Ensure drawings comply with project standards, specifications, and applicable UAE regulations.
• 
  Coordinate with electrical engineers, site engineers, BIM teams, and project managers.
• 
  Maintain proper documentation and drawing revisions.

Required Skills:

• 
  Diploma/ITI in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 
  2–5+ years of experience
  in electrical drafting/MEP projects.
• 
  Strong knowledge of
  AutoCAD
  ; Revit MEP/BIM knowledge is an advantage.
• 
  Good understanding of electrical systems and MEP coordination.
• 
  Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• 
  Good communication and coordination skills.
• 
  UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
