Job Description:


As an FS Teacher at ICS Al Danah, you will be responsible for planning, delivering, and assessing engaging lessons in line with the British Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. You will create a supportive and inclusive classroom where young learners develop foundational skills, curiosity, and a love for learning.

1. Qualifications:


  • Academic Degree:

    Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, or a related field.

  • Teaching Certification:

    A recognised and relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, B.Ed. or equivalent) specifically specialising in Early Years or Primary Education, demonstrating a strong understanding of the British educational system.

  • Licensing:

    Valid teaching license or registration from your country of origin.


2. Experience Requirements:


  • Teaching Experience:

    A minimum of 2-3 years of full-time, post-qualification teaching experience specifically within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) of a reputable British curriculum school.

  • International Experience:

    Previous experience teaching in an international school environment is highly desirable.

  • Classroom Management:

    Proven ability to manage a diverse early years classroom effectively, fostering a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.


3. Skills Required:


  • Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in utilising various teaching methodologies appropriate for early years learners.

  • Competency in integrating ICT and educational technology to enhance learning experiences.

  • Strong ability to implement formative and summative assessment strategies relevant to EYFS.

  • Skilled in differentiating instruction to cater to individual learning styles and needs.

  • Soft Skills:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with students, parents, and colleagues.

  • Exceptional patience, empathy, creativity, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.

  • Strong organisational, planning, and time-management abilities.

4. Knowledge of the Specific Curriculum:


  • British Curriculum Expertise:

    In-depth knowledge and proven practical experience with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework as part of the National Curriculum for England.

  • Curriculum Implementation:

    Ability to effectively plan, deliver, and assess all areas of learning and development within the EYFS framework.

  • Progression:

    Clear understanding of the developmental progression from EYFS into Key Stage 1 of the British curriculum.

  • Best Practices:

    Familiarity with current best practices in early childhood education within a British curriculum context.


5. UAE-Specific Requirements:


  • ADEK Compliance:

    Thorough understanding of and commitment to adhering to all regulations, guidelines, and licensing requirements set by the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK).

  • Teacher Licensing:

    Willingness and eligibility to undergo the ADEK teacher licensing and approval process upon successful appointment.

  • Visa Requirements:

    Ability to meet all UAE visa and labour requirements.

  • Cultural Awareness:

    Demonstrated sensitivity to and respect for local UAE culture, customs, and traditions.

  • Safeguarding:
