Frontend Engineer
Our client is a fast-growing technology company building a leading AI-detection and content verification platform that helps organizations distinguish between human-written and AI-generated text. Using proprietary models fine-tuned on diverse writing styles, the platform analyzes content at the sentence, paragraph, and document level to provide clear, interpretable results.Their tools are trusted by millions of users across education, publishing, legal, recruitment, cybersecurity, and media. Core features include a browser extension for real-time detection, dashboard batch processing, API integrations, and visual highlighting of AI-detected text. By combining machine learning, experimentation systems, and intuitive UIs, the platform empowers users to uphold content authenticity, protect intellectual property, and combat AI-driven misinformation.They are expanding their New York team with experienced engineers who thrive in fast-moving environments, embrace responsibility, and are motivated by growth. In this role, you’ll work on high-impact features such as experimentation platforms and in-app notification systems, directly influencing user engagement and company growth. + selling pointsAs a Frontend Engineer, you’ll design and ship intuitive, AI-powered web applications to millions of users. You will work on core product features, expand our Chrome extension, and contribute to our AI detection and feedback tools used in education, publishing, and enterprise contexts. This role combines technical leadership, close collaboration with design and product teams, and the opportunity to work on meaningful, high-visibility projects in a competitive, fast-paced market.
What you’ll do:
  • Build and ship user-facing features and web applications in React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Develop and enhance our Chrome extension
  • Collaborate with design, product, and ML teams to define and execute the product roadmap
  • Improve conversion funnels through analytics, user discovery, and SEO optimization
  • Work directly with clients and power users from academia, marketing, and publishing to understand needs and iterate quickly
  • Design robust, maintainable software with comprehensive test coverage and monitoring
  • Contribute to hackathons and cross-functional collaboration sessions

Experience required:
  • 3+ years of frontend development experience with modern JS frameworks (React.js, Next.js, TypeScript)
  • Strong understanding of SEO best practices and web performance optimization
  • Proven ability to collaborate closely with design teams for seamless UI/UX integration
  • Experience working on high-traffic products or in fast-paced startup environments
  • Track record of shipping high-quality features quickly
  • Highly motivated to make positive societal impact
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • US work eligibility or visa (H-1B transfer available)

  • Compensation: $140k–$210k for Senior; $120k–$170k for Intermediate, plus $20k–$50k equity
