The Engineering Team at SYKY is responsible for all aspects of the creation of our Technology Stack, from beautiful frontend experiences, to scalable backend services, and tools and platforms to support our creators and consumers.
The frontend engineering team is responsible for crafting best-in-class, user-centric, data-driven and universally-accessible experiences to empower, surprise, and delight the SYKY ecosystem.

Who you are
●    You have a strong passion and opinion on the future of the Internet, 3D, VR/AR, and Blockchain-based experiences and their position in the future.
●    You are excited to develop new user-facing features from UX/UI wireframes in collaboration with SYKY’s Product and wider teams.
●    You have a passion for building reusable code and libraries for future use, whilst ensuring that end-customer expectations are prioritized and delivered.
●    You love communicating, and collaborate across our UI/UX and Product teams to ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs
●    You have an obsession with performance, and focus on optimal application architecture for maximum speed and scalability
●    You are fixated over data accuracy, ensuring that all user input is validated before submitting to back-end, gathering information that matters when it matters whilst also being aware of Web3 Data Privacy Requirements
●    You are a strong communicator, and able to collaborate with other team members and senior stakeholders
Desired skills
4+ years of experience as an Engineer, including experience designing frontend architectures/component libraries.
●    Experience with Web3/Blockchain/3D technologies and the process evolution these technologies necessitate.
●    Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5, CSS3, including WCAG 2.1 standards.
●    Proficient understanding of server-side rendering and processing, including HTML and CSS pre-processing platforms, such as LESS and SASS.
●    2+ years experience working on commerce platforms, a plus.
●    Proficient understanding of client-side scripting and JavaScript frameworks, particularly Vue.JS and Nuxt.js (Or other reactive frontend frameworks such as React.js)
●    Brilliant understanding of asynchronous request handling, partial page updates, and AJAX/AJAJ
●    Extensive experience working with REST APIs. Experience working with GraphQL APIs a Plus.
●    Basic knowledge of image authoring tools and Adobe suite, to be able to crop, resize, or perform small adjustments on images or extract assets. Familiarity with tools such as Photoshop, Figma is a plus.
●    Knowledge working with headless CMSs, such as Contentful (preferred) or Adobe Headless CMS.
●    Proficient understanding of cross-browser compatibility issues and ways to work around them.
●    Proficient understanding of GIT and feature-based development strategies.
●    Ability to coach other team members through Pull Requests, and guidance on implementation details.
●    Strong understanding of SEO principles and ensuring that application will adhere to them.
●    BSC Computer Science, or equivalent discipline, preferred but not required.
