JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all timesAnticipate and exceed guest expectations. 
  • Assign specific duties to staff for efficient operation of department. 
  • Assistin training new associates and cross-training existing associates. 
  • Assistin interviewing and hiring new associates for the department. 
  • Promote teamwork and associate morale. Treat people with respect. Recognize associate successes. 
  • Have a thorough knowledge of emergency procedures and ensure staffrespondsappropriatelyin the event ofan emergency. Assist Emergency ResponseTeamas necessary. Knowlocationand use of fire extinguishers. 
  • Monitors daily status of rooms, rates, discountratesand packages. 
  • Maintainscurrentlist of available rooms forwalksituations. 
  • Coordinates blocking of rooms. 
  • Checksprinted registration cardsagainstinformation on arrival report andrectifiesany discrepancies. 
  • Ensuresprompt and courteous service to guests. 
  • Pre-registersguests according to standards. 
  • Completes and monitors employeeschedule
  • MonitorsVIP arrivals. 
  • NotifyMaintenanceDepartment of any maintenance issues. 
  • Keeps track of rooms to ensureaccuratestatus and readiness for check-in. 
  • Hires,coachesand disciplines direct reports Interacts positively and professionally with guests to resolve issues. 
  • Demonstrate knowledge of EEO policy, Fair EmploymentPracticesand Fair Labor Standards Act. Promote a harassment free work environment. 
  • Acts as Manager on Duty asrequired
  • Work nights, weekends, andholidaysas necessary. 
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet businessobjectives

EDUCATIONAND EXPERIENCE

  • In-depth knowledge of hotel Front Desk operations 
  • Basic math skills 
  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and inwriting
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Ability to exceed expectations of guests and teammembers
  • Excellent time management skills
