Job Description
The Front Office Specialist is responsible for providing professional administrative and customer service support to the Elections Office. This position serves as the first point of contact for voters, candidates, visitors, and other members of the public. The Front Office Specialist assists with answering questions, directing visitors, processing election-related documents, maintaining records, and supporting daily office operations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and assist voters, candidates, visitors, and other members of the public in a professional and courteous manner.
- Answer and direct incoming telephone calls and respond to general election-related inquiries.
- Provide accurate information regarding voter registration, polling locations, absentee voting, advance voting, and other election services.
- Receive, sort, distribute, and process incoming mail, documents, applications, and other correspondence.
- Maintain accurate records, files, and confidential election-related information.
- Assist with data entry and updating information in designated databases and systems.
- Schedule appointments and direct visitors to the appropriate department or staff member.
- Assist with the preparation, organization, and distribution of election materials and supplies.
- Support administrative staff with copying, scanning, filing, correspondence, and other clerical duties.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front office and reception area.
- Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Provide additional support during election periods, including high-volume voter inquiries and other election-related activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be a US Citizen
- Previous customer service, receptionist, administrative, or clerical experience preferred.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work professionally with a diverse population.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with computers, data entry, Microsoft Office, and office equipment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
