YOUR ROLE AS A FRONT OFFICE SHIFTLEADER

As a Shiftleader, you are responsible for a Front Office shift. This means that you manage the team, welcome all guests at the front desk, and provide them with efficient, courteous, and professional service. You know exactly how to provide luxurious service and create a true experience for all guests every day. You are always guest-oriented and act proactively. You are the main point of contact for all guest requests and challenges and are responsible for following up on them. You are quick, professional, and can communicate assertively in Dutch and English with guests and colleagues. You have a positive attitude and take pride in your job.

Requirements

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

· Leading the Front Office team, training, inspiring, and motivating your colleagues

· Compliance with and monitoring of Mariott standards

· Welcoming guests upon arrival and handling the administrative formalities related to their entire stay

· Informing guests about the hotel’s facilities and assisting them during their stay

· Closing the cash register and checking outstanding accounts

· Taking care of guest feedback and ensuring that the guests leave the hotel satisfied

· Assisting with improvement plans for the department

· Support well-being of junior front office colleagues

· Carry out preventive round to identify possible risks

· Find solutions to day to day challenged within hotel operations

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

· An enthusiastic and persuasive personality with a hands-on mentality and full-time availability

· Able to train and supervise employees in all aspects of service

· Assisting the Front Office Manager

· Minimum MBO4 working and thinking level

· Minimum 2 years of recent experience in the hotel industry at the front desk is a must

· Knowledge of Opera PMS and Mariott systems, such as Marsha and GuestVoice is a pre

· Good knowledge of spoken and written Dutch and English

· Hospitable, guest-friendly, persuasive, and enthusiastic

· Able to represent Marriott Standards
