Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Front Office Manager, the incumbent assists with daily front office activities and provides guidance to subordinate personnel to ensure courteous hotel/resort services. High school diploma or GED as well as a minimum of one (1) year of front desk experience. Must possess proven leadership ability necessary to provide guidance to subordinate personnel and develop short-term developmental goals. Must possess a high degree of interpersonal and customer relation skills necessary to ensure total guest satisfaction. Position requires ability to stand and walk 90% of the time. Extensive periods of keyboarding is required. Must have the abiity to lift up to 50lbs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Must adhere to Mashantucket Pequot Tribe's Policies and Procedures.
  • Ensures compliance with departmental budgets.
  • Oversees and ensures inspection and readiness of rooms prior to occupancy.
  • Investigates and resolves guest situations such as reservations errors and lost personal belongings.
  • Prepares and processes daily reports and performs other general administrative duties as appropriate.
  • Performs special assignments such as preparing junkets.
  • Interviews, hires, trains, schedules, appraises and supervises all directly assigned personnel.
  • Performs subordinate duties as necessary.
  • Promotes positive guest and employee relations at all times.
  • Maintains a clean, safe, hazard-free work environment within area of responsibility.
  • Participates as a panel member on MPGE's Board of Review as needed.
  • Performs all other related and compatible duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school diploma or GED as well as a minimum of one (1) year of front desk experience.

  • Ability to counsel and coach employees.
  • Must possess basic mathematical skills as they apply to job functions.
  • Required to become proficient in department specific computer programs.
