ABOUT THE DEN ‘S-HERTOGENBOSCH

The Den, 's-Hertogenbosch, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel, opened its doors in March 2022, as part of the Odyssey Hotel Group and franchise of Marriott International. With its location between city and nature, The Den is easily accessible and within walking distance of the city centre and the central station of ‘s-Hertogenbosch.

THE POSITION

As a Front Office Intern, you will be the first point of contact in the hotel four our guests. You’ll give a warm welcome and ensure a smooth check-in process, in line with our brand standards. In addition, you are open to answering questions, handling complaints, and offering assistance where needed. Together with the Front Office Team, you’re always looking for the personal connection with our guests to make their stay as unique as possible.

In addition to your daily Front Office tasks, there’s plenty of room for your own input and projects. We’re always curious to see how you get the best learning experience during your internship.

Requirements

YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing a smooth check-in and check-out process for our guests at all time.

  • Handling complaints.

  • Maximizing room occupancy and using up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilities.

  • Promote hospitality within our hotel standards.

HOW YOU’LL DO IT

  • Having a creative and warm personality and know-how to connect with guests and colleagues.

  • Being representative and guest-oriented.

  • Thinking out of the box to create unique experiences.

  • With a love for structuring a bit of chaos.

  • By being a great team player and having a proactive attitude.

  • Showing effective communication and interpersonal skills.

WHAT YOU’LL BRING

  • Currently enrolled in an MBO/HBO degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a degree in another relevant field of study.

  • Affinity with hotels and hospitality.

  • Fluent in English, and preferably in Dutch.

  • EU/EEA national or enrolled in a Dutch institution as we cannot provide visas, permits, or sponsorships.
