SALARY RANGE: $69,000-$80,000. Employees also receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid time off, a gym membership, and other perks.

THE HIRING COMPANY: The Kitchen Grill & Games at Discovery is a one-of-a-kind indoor/outdoor entertainment destination combining great food, drinks, and America’s fastest-growing sport—pickleball. Our venue features six indoor and four outdoor courts, along with a full lineup of indoor and outdoor games, ice skating, live music, and a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere. The Kitchen at Discovery is one of several exciting amenities built and planned for residents of Aria and the greater Columbia community, offering a place where fun, recreation, and connection come together!

FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER POSITION: We are looking for a Front of House Restaurant Manager to oversee the daily operations of a fast-paced and energetic restaurant. Our FOH Restaurant Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the restaurant is fully staffed at all times, and will be expected to train new employees and promote a positive work environment where employees have the confidence to make smart decisions and solve problems effortlessly. We are interested in hiring an outgoing and friendly individual who has previous experience operating a restaurant or other retail business, as this is a critical position to help make our business successful.

FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work as a team with other Managers to achieve The Kitchen's sales goals and create an exceptional guest experience
• Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times
• Handle all guest issues as they arise, resolving all conflicts professionally while providing the highest level of customer service possible
• Oversee the coaching, training and management of front of house staff/service staff
• Act as a liaison between the front of house and back of house to ensure smooth and flawless execution of guests' service
• Fill in where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations
• Ensure Pickleball courts are running smoothly and efficiently
• Work with marketing/events team to create strategies to increase foot traffic and drive new business.
• Work with marketing team to promote weekly social media posts about specials and events happening at The Kitchen.

FRONT OF HOUSE MANAGER QUALIFICATIONS:

• MUST HAVE: 2+ years experience at a fine dining or upscale casual restaurant (fast food experience will not be counted)
• MUST HAVE: previous leadership or management experience
• MUST BE: High energy, outgoing, positive leader!
• PREFERRED: Bachelors degree
• Able to read, write and communicate effectively
• Be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time.
• Be able to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to fully understand and comply with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the restaurant, employees, and guests.
