About the job: 
 
Accounts & Payments is undergoing a major transformation, driven by regulatory, market and technological changes. As an experienced Frontend Solution Architect this is your chance to make a significant impact on our customers' experience, shape the future of banking and our products, and contribute to the digital transformation of the financial industry. 
 
As a Frontend Solution Architect, you'll focus on designing solutions using the latest frontend technologies to create a seamless user experience while also prioritizing security, performance, and accessibility. You’ll collaborate in a cross-functional team of customer experience professionals, business analysts, architects, developers, and banking product specialists working in an agile environment. You will also be a vital contributor in our design and development process as well as part of our architecture community driving the Accounts & Payments agenda in the bank.  

As a Front-End Solution Architect, you will be responsible for:

  • Setting, continuously improving and implementing the frontend architecture that drives SEB’s customer experience in line with business priorities
  • Collaborating with Channel Owners, Project Managers, and Developers to define and align solution designs and architectural inputs
  • Advising and supporting development teams by setting principles and standards, co-designing solutions, contributing to PoCs, and guiding architectural evolution
  • Contributing to Payments and SEB-wide architecture through Communities of Practice, Guilds, and cross-team collaboration
  • Supporting project and epic delivery within a Scaled Agile setup
  • Working within the Shared Service Architecture team, actively contributing to Enterprise and Domain Architecture groups and the broader Architecture Community
  • Focusing on frontend customer experience architecture while closely collaborating with payment platform and reporting teams

To thrive in this role, we believe you have:

  • Solid and proven background in frontend development (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), strong expertise and enthusiasm for modern web technologies and frameworks (Angular, React, TypeScript, Next.js), and the ability to guide and make informed technical decisions
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Frontend Solution Architect or possibly a Tech Lead, who enjoys building high-quality, customer-focused applications
  • Strong knowledgeable of UX principles, WCAG, and accessibility best practices 
  • Experience with cloud platforms (Google Cloud, AWS, Azure, OpenShift) and DevOps
  • A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and a drive to explore new technologies
  • The ability to collaborate with non-technical colleagues and present solutions clearly without relying on technical details
  • Experience managing diverse stakeholders in large organizations and navigating ambiguity, you have experience in both traditional waterfall Project Management and Scaled Agile environments
  • A hands-on approach, with the ability to code PoCs to validate ideas and guide development teams
  • Ability to combine a pragmatic approach with a creative and innovative mindset to find best solutions to business challenges 
  • Fluency in English
