Projects

• 2 core products are mature and in use with customers, they are adding new features.
• Later in 2025 a new product will be launched (currently in testing)
• 4th product that the early foundations have been built for that will be the focus for H2 2025 and 2026
• Ongoing: clean code / refracting / code review and quality improvement (previously had a vendor)

Responsibilities

• Taking ownership of projects from architecture, design, build and maintain customer-facing applications
• Collaborate closely with product managers (in EU) to define and design feature specifications
• Design webpages that elegantly displays a substantial data, making it easily comprehensible to everyone
• Coach & mentor junior developers - conduct code reviews and lead by example
• Identify technical risk throughout Systems development life cycle and suggest mitigation options

Team Org & Culture

• Reporting to either the head of engineering who has relocated from EU to Malaysian or a technical lead
• Entrepreneurial and ambitious team from Malaysia and Europe, which include ex management consultants
• The engineering hub in KL (15 staff) supports software development, data engineering and analytics

Must Have

• 5 + years Angular
• TypeScript

Nice to have

• Node.js / Nest.js
• Micro front end (MFEs) / Monorepos
• AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
• Docker, Kubernetes, and (AWS)
• 5 + years React / Vue (Must be willing to learn Angular)

Note: Flexibility to hire at 100% Front end or Full Stack (60% Front end). Can also consider candidates who want to transition into more front end heavy role.

Grade / Level

• Highly technical role and is suitable for senior / lead / staff / principal engineers to apply
• 8-10+ years total work experience (Front end / Full Stack)

Work Arrangement

• Hybrid with 3 days work from office
• Based in Bangsar South / KL Gateway (Close to MRT / LRT)
