Job Description

We are seeking a Front-End Developer to support the development and optimization of modern digital experiences across web platforms. This role focuses on building responsive, high-performing interfaces that enhance how users interact with digital products and services.

The developer will work within an Agile team to design and deliver scalable frontend solutions, improve site performance, and support ongoing enhancements to digital capabilities. This role partners closely with product, design, content, and quality teams to translate business requirements into seamless user experiences while contributing to the evolution of modern frontend architecture and development practices.

Hourly Rate: $50 (T4) or $57.50 (Incorporated) Hybrid position Contract: 5+ months (likelihood to extend)
RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and develop responsive, high-quality user interfaces for web applications and digital platforms.

• Build scalable frontend solutions that support performance, reliability, and maintainability across modern web environments.

• Develop reusable components and shared UI patterns to support consistent user experiences and efficient development practices.

• Collaborate with product, design, QA, and content teams to translate business requirements into functional, user-friendly interfaces.

• Improve frontend performance through code optimization, efficient asset delivery, and modern development practices.

• Contribute to enhancements of digital platforms and support ongoing modernization initiatives across web properties.

• Participate in code reviews, testing, and quality assurance practices to maintain high engineering standards.

• Ensure user interfaces follow established accessibility guidelines and usability standards.

• Implement automated testing approaches to improve code reliability and reduce defects.

• Support troubleshooting and resolution of frontend issues in development and production environments.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript and related frontend technologies.

• Experience working with component-based frontend frameworks and building scalable user interface architectures.

• Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for building responsive and interactive web experiences.

• Experience working with modern frontend development workflows and version control systems.

• Familiarity with frontend performance optimization techniques and best practices.

• Experience implementing testing strategies and automated testing tools for frontend applications.

• Understanding of accessibility standards and experience developing accessible user interfaces.

• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in Agile development environments.

• Strong communication and problem-solving skills with the ability to work across both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver high-quality work in fast-paced development environments.
