Job Description

The Front Desk Receptionist will provide coverage of telephone and front desk duties. Answer incoming calls in a prompt, courteous manner according to Brooks customer service quality standards. Greet and assist visitors in a professional and efficient manner.

Responsibilities:

  • Receives hospital guests, ascertains needs, and directs guests appropriately.
  • Courteously answers the phone and takes accurate messages.
  • Answers routine questions regarding departmental policies, operations and procedures.
  • Checks appointment schedules and directs or escorts guests to appropriate office or departmental area.
  • Completes assignments of special projects by designated deadlines.
  • Responsible for admitting patients as needed.
  • Monitors patients in lobby area.
  • May perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • 1 year Customer Service experience.
  • 1 year of switchboard or phone experience.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to multitask.

Hours: Part Time, 20 hours per week, Monday – Friday 4pm-7:30pm

Location: 6209 Brooks Bartram Drive, Building 100, Jacksonville, FL 32258

Compensation: Experience, education and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.
