**Job Summary:**
As a Front Desk Coordinator I, you will be responsible for assisting patients with check-in/out procedures, scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and maintaining patient records. Your excellent communication skills and customer service mindset will be essential in providing a positive experience for patients.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred
- Proven experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer applications
**Responsibilities:**
- Greet and check-in patients upon arrival, verifying personal information
- Schedule appointments and maintain appointment calendar
- Answer telephone calls and respond to patient inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
- Assist with billing inquiries, insurance verification, and payment processing
- Maintain and update patient records in compliance with regulations and internal protocols
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow
- Uphold patient confidentiality and privacy standards at all times
- Provide support in resolving patient issues or complaints in a timely and effective manner
**Work Environment:**
This role is primarily carried out in a medical office or healthcare facility setting. The Patient Services Coordinator I will work closely with patients, healthcare providers, and administrative staff to facilitate smooth operations and optimal patient care.
