The incumbent in this position is responsible for providing superior service to both the internal and external guest. The incumbent is also responsible for welcoming and providing service to guests. completing check-ins and check-outs in an upbeat and professional manner.
Creates and ensures a fun-filled exciting environment promoting superior guest service, and working harmoniously with team members. Has the resiliency to deal with difficult guest in all types of business conditions.
Greets all guest with proper introduction, in an energetic and enthusiastic manner.
Answers telephone calls in friendly voice.
Responsible for registering all guests in and out of the hotel in an accurate and timely manner while demonstrating an upbeat and professional demeanor.
Processes guest payments and accounts upon checkout in an efficient, timely, and accurate manner. Maintains confidentiality and safeguards data.
Assigns guest accommodations in accordance with procedures and policies.
Handles assigned bank in accordance to established internal controls properly and performs accurate account postings to guest folios.
Maintains knowledge of hotel occupancy status, special events, in-house groups, promotions and other situations affecting the daily operation.
Accepts same day and advance reservations as required.
Maintains guest relations in a positive manner. If unable to satisfy guests' complaints, refers guest to appropriate personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Ability to handle multiple tasks with a sense of urgency.
Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as necessary.
Ability to use all equipment associated with the position, including, but not limited to keyboards, telephones, fax machines, copiers and printers.
Ability to be physically mobile, and stand/walk for 8 to 12-hour shifts.
Excellent guest service and communication skills.
Must be able to work in areas containing dust, secondhand smoke, varying noise and temperature levels, lighting, vibrations, crowds and air quality.
Must present a professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
Regular and punctual attendance is required.
