Mountain Recreation is seeking friendly, dependable, and outgoing individuals to join our Front Desk team at the Gypsum Recreation Center in an on-call/substitute capacity. This flexible customer service role provides coverage as needed and includes greeting guests, answering phones, collecting daily admissions, assisting with activity registrations, processing sales, managing passes and equipment rentals, balancing cash, and providing accurate information about Mountain Recreation programs and services. Hours are not guaranteed and will vary based on staffing and facility needs, with shifts available on an as-needed basis.
POSITION DETAILS
Job Title: Front Desk Attendant
Location: Gypsum Recreation Center (Gypsum, CO)
Employment Type: On-Call/Part-Time, Year-Round
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Overtime Eligible)
Schedule: Work schedules are variable and may include evenings, weekends, and holidays, with hours based on the operational needs of the facility.
Supervision Required: Works under the supervision of the Gypsum Recreation Center Supervisor and Facility Coordinator
Supervision Exercised: None
Work Environment and Physical Demands: This position is primarily indoors and may require prolonged periods of standing or sitting. Employees may need to bend, reach, or move around the front desk area, and occasionally lift or carry items such as equipment, supplies, or registration materials. Work hours and days may vary, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and some holidays.

Salary: $18.49 – $21.95/hour DOE; staff in this position are eligible for a $1/hour incentive for Spanish/English bilingual and can pass the language competency test.
