Job Description

Our client is a modern hotel in Malta offering a comfortable and welcoming environment for both leisure and business travellers. They are looking for a professional and guest-focused Front Desk Agent to join their team and provide an excellent experience to guests throughout their stay.

The Front Desk Agent will be responsible for managing daily reception operations, welcoming guests, handling check-ins and check-outs, assisting with reservations and enquiries, and ensuring that guest requests are handled efficiently and professionally.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests warmly and provide a professional and efficient check-in and check-out experience.
• Handle reservations, guest requests, and enquiries by telephone, email, and in person.
• Provide accurate information regarding hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
• Process payments, billing, and cash transactions accurately.
• Liaise with Housekeeping, Food and Beverage, Maintenance, and other departments to ensure guest requests are handled promptly.
• Respond to guest concerns and complaints professionally, escalating matters when required.
• Maintain accurate guest records while ensuring compliance with data protection standards.
• Support the smooth running of daily front office operations.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area.
• Carry out other duties related to the role as required.

Requirements

• Applicants must currently reside in Malta.
• Previous experience in a hotel front desk or reception role is essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional, polished, and guest-focused approach.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Comfortable using hotel management systems and standard office software.
• Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
