Job Description

Job Location: Tapestry Collection by Hilton - Carlsbad, CA 92008
Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.00 Hourly

Front desk agents interact with guests at multiple points throughout their stay. They typically work near the hotel’s front entrance, so they’re easily visible to guests with questions or concerns. The role involves administrative, customer service and technical responsibilities, such as scheduling reservations.
Common duties include:
- Creating and managing room reservations via the hotel’s software
- Processing payments for rooms and amenities, such as room service, spa treatments or reservation add-ons like cable services
- Greeting and checking guests in
- Answering questions and resolving problems, such as towel refills or key card issues
- Collaborating with hotel staff, including housekeepers, servers and the engineering team
- Documenting reservations, service requests and incidents, such as elevator breakdowns
- Following the property’s cash-handling procedures
