General Description: The Frio County Food Bank Manager leads and coordinates programmatic efforts across Frio County in alignment with the San Antonio Food Bank’s “Food for Today, Food for Tomorrow, and Food for a Lifetime” framework. This includes implementing and promoting SAFB programs, conducting community outreach and education, expanding access to federal nutrition benefits such as SNAP, and strengthening local capacity to serve neighbors. The role includes a strong focus on SNAP outreach and application assistance while also supporting a broad range of program initiatives across the county.
This position also serves as the primary programmatic liaison for SAFB in Frio County and surrounding areas. Responsibilities include partner outreach and recruitment, guiding the onboarding process, monitoring compliance with SAFB policies, and helping build sustainable capacity among community partners.
