Overview:

Are you dying for a job where you can scream, haunt, and terrify? As a Fright Fest Scare Actor, you are the heart and soul of Six Flag Darien Lake's spooktacular event! Whether lurking through haunted houses, roaming scare zones or creeping around dark corners, you will bring terrifying characters to life and create spine-chilling, unforgettable experiences for park guests.

Responsibilities:

· Jump out at guests from the darkest corners and best hiding spots as they walk through our scare zones

· Transform into a frightening creature with full makeovers and costumes

· Assist in costume maintenance and repair

· Make appearances at special park events

· Occasionally serve as an usher for other entertainment venues in the park

· Maintain professional standards in accordance with all Six Flags policies

· Other job duties as assigned

· Maintain screams and safety at all times

· Keep escape routes and work locations clean

· Be able to work in an environment as fast-paced as our coasters

· Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to the Six Flags mantra

· Be playful and friendly with an outgoing personality

· Have a positive attitude to deliver the most terrifying experience possible

· Can’t be afraid of the dark

Qualifications:

· Must be at least 18 years old

· Must be able to stand, walk, kneel, and crouch for extended periods in varied weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain

· Must be able to perform in an enclosed costume, having limited sight lines

· Must be willing to comply with company health and safety procedures and ensure guest compliance.

· Height and weight may be required for proper fit in specific costumes

· Have a good attitude, good appearance, and participate as a member of the team

· Able to work various shifts as projects and park needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays

· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
