FRESH FOODS ASSISTANT

We are looking for someone with a passion for food preparation to join our Fresh Food team with a position available in the Bakery department on a full-time basis.

In our Bakery our rosters are fixed, so you’ll know what days you’ll work each week and that you’ll be working 9 hours per day, 45 hours per week.

The roster is Saturday to Wednesday 5am to 2.30pm.

The ideal candidate will be:

• Someone with previous food handling and preparation experience preferred
• Customer service focused and committed to providing our customers with high quality products
• Able to work well under pressure, meet deadlines, is self-motivated, organised, possess time management skills and is an effective communicator
• Physically fit and able to repeatedly lift heavy items (up to 15kg)
• Available to work mornings from 05:00am and weekends

Key responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting Bakers by performing routine food preparation, cleaning, storage tasks, packing and presenting products ready for sale
• Providing excellent customer service
• Maintaining stock levels in cabinets and retail spaces and ensuring all products on display are of superior quality
• Working within Food Safety and Health and Safety requirements
