HYROX is a global sports event series that combines running and functional fitness training in a unique race format. Founded in Germany in 2017, HYROX has evolved into a worldwide fitness movement with events across five continents, attracting tens of thousands of athletes every season.To bring our biggest events to life digitally and physically in real-time, we are looking for a highly dynamic creative on a freelance basis to join our on-the-ground team.
As our Traveling Freelance Graphic Designer (m/f/d), you will travel to all 5 Major HYROX events globally, working as an integral part of our on-site, on-grid team. This is not a typical desk job; you will be right in the middle of the action, providing real-time graphic support while reacting to live race developments. You are fast, outgoing, and thrive under pressure. If you love traveling, adapt instantly to changing situations, and want to design live-action sports content directly trackside, this is your match!
Live On-Site Graphic Support: You will travel to all 5 Major championship events, working directly on-site to provide immediate graphic and design support to the content team.
Real-Time Content Creation: You will design under high pressure during live races, quickly creating graphics for race results, penalties, athlete stories, and breaking news.
On-the-Grid Adaptability: You will collaborate closely with a fast-moving on-site team, proactively jumping in to help solve problems and adapting design assets as live event schedules and results shift.
Multi-Format Assets: You will produce highly polished, on-brand visual assets across various formats—ranging from social media templates to digital signage and on-site event graphics.
Elite Speed & Stress Tolerance: You are an exceptionally fast designer who remains completely calm, focused, and positive under tight timelines and high-stress live event conditions.
Love for Travel & Flexibility: You have an adventurous spirit and are fully committed to traveling internationally to our global Majors, adapting easily to different venues and time zones.
Proactive & Outgoing: You are an open, energetic team player who proactively communicates and jumps in to assist the team whenever and wherever help is needed throughout the race day.
Software Mastery: You are highly experienced in the industry-standard design toolkit, possessing advanced skills in Figma, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe InDesign
Quick Problem Solver: You can think on your feet, coming up with smart, creative design solutions in real-time as live sports scenarios unfold.

HYROX is a new global fitness race designed for any and every fitness enthusiast. The one-day events take place in large arenas and are comprised of 8 x 1km runs and 8 functional fitness stations. Each competitor has his/her own personal completion time to compare to everyone else around the world and improve upon in subsequent events similar to a runner in a marathon.
