📋 Tasks and responsibilities

Two positions are available for an experienced Works Manager within a large offshore installation scope focused on trenching and cable-lay barge operations.

🛠️ Department Description and responsibilities

As a Works Manager, you are responsible for the operational execution of the offshore works on site. You work closely with site superintendents and project engineers and report directly to the project manager. Your focus is on the overall coordination of the works, while superintendents handle day-to-day issues.

• Provide combined offshore installation management and works management on the trenching and cable-lay barge spread.
• Act as the single point of accountability for HSE, POB and emergency response.
• Direct daily trenching and cable-lay operations in line with the execution plan.
• Communicate clearly with project engineers, project management and other stakeholders.
• Organise the works and ensure execution follows the method statement and is carried out safely.
• Monitor project progress accurately and support the coordination, optimisation and correction of site activities where needed.
• Support budget follow-up and cost control in close collaboration with the project manager.

📝 Technical profile requirements

• Minimum 7 years of relevant offshore work experience.
• Strong engineering and installation background, ideally on large offshore installation projects.
• Strong project management and planning skills.
• Extensive experience working in high-safety environments.

📝 Non-Technical profile requirements

• Good communication skills and the ability to take a critical view of the works to be carried out.
• You work well in teams, support colleagues and can lead the workforce in the field.

✅ Methodology/Certification requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering.

📌 Offshore Medical Certificate

A valid offshore medical certificate is required.

📌 Chester Step

A valid Chester Step certificate is required.

📌 STCW Basic Safety Training

A valid BOSIET certification, or an equivalent offshore safety certification such as STCW or FOET, is required.

📌 Language proficiencies

📌 Fluent in Dutch is preferred and a very strong asset
Fluent proficiency in English is required (written and spoken). Proficiency in other languages is a plus.

📌 Planning

📌 rotation of 14d on / 14 days off
Rotation schedule: 14 days on / 14 days off.

📍 Location

Offshore in Dutch waters.

📌 Contractor will stay at a Hotel Vessel

You will stay on a hotel vessel. Each day includes a CTV transfer to the installation barge and back to the hotel vessel, outside the 12-hour shift.
