The Salesforce Campaign Specialist is a pivotal and highly visible member of the project team, responsible for the strategic design, precise execution, optimization, and leadership of high-volume, complex digital marketing campaigns for our client. This role demands an individual with deep expertise in enterprise-level Email Service Providers (ESPs), advanced SQL for intricate data segmentation, and hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs).

You will be instrumental in translating overarching marketing strategies into robust technical deployments, often operating independently on technical architecture without detailed specifications. This position requires a proactive mindset, strong client-facing communication skills, and the ability to design end-to-end solutions, taking full ownership from conception to delivery. You will not just execute, but also consult, strategize, and drive forward critical initiatives, including a significant migration to Adobe Experience Platform. Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Campaign Design & Advanced Segmentation:
  • Strategically design and implement complex audience segmentation logic for 30-40 distinct audiences per campaign, primarily utilizing sophisticated SQL-based waterfall methodology for our Tier 1 programs.
  • Develop and optimize advanced SQL queries for precise customer targeting, leveraging ownership, lease/finance, and behavioral data sources.
  • Lead comprehensive campaign classification, tracking setup, and coordinate closely with the analytics team to ensure accurate segment methodology and robust reporting.
  • Support multiple push notification audiences throughout the year, collaborating with internal teams (e.g., Station team) and platform providers (e.g., Conductor platform).
  • Support "Always On" campaigns, including:
  • MYCO (Model Year Change Over) updates and new model year rollouts across 12 carlines.
  • Handraiser, Build & Price, and Sold Order journeys.
  • Custom audience builds for eNews campaigns.
  • Development of Landing Pages and CloudPages for specific campaign initiatives.
  • Deliverability Ownership & Quality Assurance:
  • Take full ownership of deliverability monitoring, troubleshooting, and mitigation strategies across major email clients (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, Apple Mail), ensuring optimal inbox placement for 60-70M monthly email sends.
  • Manage and support a high-volume email environment, consistently handling monthly email sends of 60-70M.
  • Perform rigorous Quality Assurance (QA) on all campaign builds before deployment to ensure accuracy, functionality, and adherence to brand guidelines.
  • Coordinate proactively with vendors like Validity and Movable Ink, specifically participating in and leading planning and monitoring meetings for deliverability with Validity/Everest.
  • Personalization & Innovation Leadership:
  • Lead the implementation, planning, and management of personalization modules using tools like Movable Ink and Litmus, fostering strong collaboration with vendors.
  • Data Platform & Advanced Segmentation (FY161 Base Scope Support):
  • Build and activate advanced audience segments within Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) for various CRM use cases.
  • Support and execute Test & Learn initiatives, including up to 10 tests per year incorporating robust holdout group methodologies.
  • Strategic Contributions & Mentorship:
  • Actively participate in and consult on client and strategy team planning sessions, providing valuable technical feasibility input and strategic insights.
  • Mentor junior Solutions Engineers, sharing SFMC best practices, account patterns, and deployment strategies.
  • Provide critical support and leadership for the ongoing Adobe Experience Platform (AEP) migration from Tealium CDP (scheduled for completion by March 2026), leveraging your CDP experience or strong aptitude.
  • Over time, absorb strategic planning and client meetings, contributing to higher-level architectural decisions and incremental projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Enterprise ESP Expertise: 5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level Email Service Providers (ESPs). Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) experience is strongly preferred, but significant experience with Braze, Selligent, Eloqua, or Responsys will also be considered.
  • Advanced SQL Proficiency (Required): Demonstrated mastery in writing complex SQL queries, including advanced JOINs, sophisticated waterfall segmentation logic, and performance optimization techniques for large datasets.
  • High-Volume Email Environments: Proven experience operating within and managing high-volume email environments, specifically handling 60M+ monthly sends.
  • CDP/Data Platform Expertise: Hands-on experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs) or similar data platforms (e.g., Tealium, Adobe Experience Platform, Segment, mParticle), including building audiences and activating them to downstream marketing channels. Strong aptitude for learning AEP rapidly is essential due to ongoing migration.
  • Strong Client-Facing Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly, concisely, and effectively to non-technical stakeholders and clients, acting as a trusted consultant.
  • Independent Technical Architecture: Proven ability to operate independently on technical architecture without requiring detailed specifications, designing solutions end-to-end.

  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and holdout group methodologies for campaign optimization and performance measurement.
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing analytics, campaign reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, competing priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
  • A keen eye for detail and an unwavering commitment to data accuracy and campaign quality.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a significant plus.
