Exciting Opportunity for Freelance Quality Controllers (Chinese)!

The Quality Controller is responsible for performing post-linguistic quality control on our key documents. This role ensures that translated and formatted content is complete, accurate, and compliant with quality standards. The Quality Controller must be able to understand both the source and target languages in order to verify language-specific and high-risk content.

This role involves meticulous review and verification of documents, focusing on both linguistic and non-linguistic elements to maintain high-quality standards.

Essential Duties:

  • Verify that no paragraphs are missing or untranslated.

  • Ensure the target file formatting accurately reflects the source.

  • Verify that all tracked changes from the source are correctly implemented in the target (additions and deletions).

  • Perform language accuracy checks on critical elements, including:
    – Inclusion and exclusion criteria
    – Numbers, symbols, and units (dosage, time units)
    – Drug names, sponsor names, protocol and study titles
    – Proper names (PI and other relevant names)

  • Review headers, footers, tables of contents, and links.

  • Detect formatting issues, missing content, and errors in key areas of the text.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience in multilingual quality control or a related field.

  • Ability to read and understand both English and Chinese

  • Candidates must be comfortable reviewing medical and technical content.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and its Review functions.

  • Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors.

  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with translators and project managers.

  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in translation quality control and linguistic services.

  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes and standards.

  • Familiarity with different language scripts and alphabets is a plus
