Job Description
As a Works Manager, you are responsible for the operational delivery of activities on site. You lead the execution at a broader level, supported by a team of site superintendents and project engineers, and you report directly to the Project Manager. This position is aimed at an experienced professional able to oversee large offshore subsea cable installation projects, combining solid engineering knowledge with hands-on installation experience.
Responsibilities
- Support a dedicated project involving barge operations for cable installation, cable burial, termination, testing and pull-ins.
- Act as the single point of accountability offshore for HSE, POB and emergency response within the cable installation spread.
- Manage and coordinate daily cable installation, burial, pull-in, termination and testing activities to ensure safe, efficient and compliant execution in line with schedule, budget and project requirements.
- Plan and organize the works on site.
- Drive the efficient execution and optimization of subsea cable installation operations.
- Take into account stakeholder needs, both internal and external.
- Help ensure smooth realization of project activities.
- Maintain QHSE-S standards and keep the project on track in terms of timing and budget.
- Work closely with superintendents and project engineers on site, while coordinating the operational workforce.
📝 Your profile
- You have at least 3 years of experience in complex offshore engineering projects.
- You bring strong project management and planning skills.
- You have extensive experience in high-safety environments.
- You communicate clearly and can take a critical view of the works to be performed.
- You work well in a team, support colleagues effectively and are able to lead field personnel.
- You are autonomous, solution-oriented and pragmatic in your approach.
- You have a hands-on mindset.
- You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably with a specialization in construction, or equivalent experience.
Certifications
- Offshore Medical Certificate
- Chester Step
- STCW Basic Safety Training
- BOSIET certification or equivalent (such as STCW or FOET)
Languages
- Fluent English is required, both written and spoken.
- Fluent Dutch is preferred and considered a strong asset.
- Additional languages are a plus.
Location
Offshore work combined with office locations in France, the EU or the USA.

Rotation planning is not yet fully defined and will depend on the vessel and the project.
