Your mission
We are currently looking for a freelance lecturer (m/f/d) to teach a variety of Data Science modules in between January and July 2026. The courses either consist of 3 hours of teaching per week over 14 weeks, or 8 hours of teaching in six block sessions, plus supervision and assessment of a examination.
Topic areas include:
- Machine Learning
- Data Bases
- Data Visualization
- Information Retrieval
- Language Processing
- Disruptive Computing
- Deep Neural Networks

YOUR IMPACT
As a freelance lecturer at XU, you will:
- Deliver practice-oriented sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.
- Share your expertise by creating engaging teaching materials, presentations, and assignments.
- Guide students through industry standards, best practices, and cutting-edge developments in your given field.
- Supervise and assess a final examination.
- Inspire our students to pursue careers in Data Science.
Your profile
We are looking for someone who:
- Holds at least a Master's degree in Manufacturing, Robotics, Data Science, or a related field, or has a Bachelor’s degree in an unrelated field but practical experience in Industry 4.0, Internet of Things or Virtualization/Digital Twinning.
- Demonstrates a solid understanding of one or more of the previously mentioned topic areas.
- Possesses strong English communication skills (level C1 or above - no formal proof required).
- Enjoys teaching and engaging with students in a dynamic, practice-oriented environment.
