The Clinical Device Specialist is responsible for providing on site technical support during clinical study procedures, including device preparation, console operation, and equipment logistics, while strictly adhering to study protocols and maintaining separation from all clinical responsibilities.
As part of our SRS/FSP team, you will be dedicated to one sponsor, a global pharmaceutical or biotechnology company that is an industry leader within its therapeutic area.
This is a freelance contract position with a part time commitment of approximately 1 to 2 days per week, equivalent to around 0.2 to 0.4 FTE over a 12 month period.
• Perform device preparation, inspection, and functional testing prior to procedures in line with study protocols and instructions for use
• Ensure full system readiness including setup of console, catheters, cables, and accessories
• Operate the device console during procedures according to predefined protocol parameters
• Monitor device performance and conduct limited troubleshooting within approved guidelines
• Complete post procedure activities including cleaning, shutdown, documentation, and device handling
• Manage equipment logistics such as transport, storage, and on site inventory tracking
• Background in nursing, biomedical, clinical, or technical field
• Experience working with medical devices in clinical or research environments
• Familiarity with procedural settings and sterile or aseptic techniques
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow strict protocols
• Fluency in local language and working knowledge of English
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel between sites
