Job ID 23602– Fraud Specialist

Location: Rochester, NY 14623 – This position is onsite

Pay: $21.00 per hour - $22.00 per hour

Type: Contract, Contract to hire

Schedule: M-F, 11:30 - 8:30 or potentially 10AM – 7PM

• Investigate and resolve reported fraud concerns, suspicious activity, and high-risk transactions to minimize financial losses and exposure.
• Review high-risk clients and transactions, identify repeat offenders, verify client legitimacy, and take appropriate risk-mitigation actions.
• Partner with financial institutions to freeze accounts, recover fraudulently transferred funds, and complete required documentation and follow-up.
• Analyze cases involving check fraud, forged endorsements, identity exposure, and personally identifiable information while ensuring compliance with applicable policies and regulations.
• Maintain detailed fraud case records, track trends and incident statistics, communicate findings to clients and internal partners, and provide guidance on fraud prevention best practices.

Requirements:

• Associate degree required
• Must have (1) year of experience in fraud, investigations/banking
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background check required
• Drug screening required
