Job Title: Associate II - Fraud Investigations

Number of Positions: 2

Location: Hybrid at Glen Allen, VA 23060

Rate: $35-$40 per hour

Conversion Salary Range: $62,100 - $105,600

Schedule: 8am - 5pm with rotating Saturdays

Fraud Risk Management is responsible for ensuring protection of an organization against frauds. Activities may include:

• Monitoring and acting on intellectual property infringement to protect the brand
• Anti-money laundering
• Establishing strategies/tactics for fraud management
• Preventing/detecting/investigating fraud cases against customer accounts and taking appropriate action.

Fraud Investigations activities may include:

• Investigates suspected incidents of illegal activity or cases of suspected fraud by teammates, vendors, or third parties.
• Coordinates information gathering and reporting with applicable law enforcement authorities, and present evidence to court.
• Maintains case management and evidence in accordance with legal requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Applies practical knowledge of a job area typically obtain through advanced education and work experience.

Responsibilities typically include:

• Working independently with general supervision.
• Problems faced are difficult but typically not complex.
• May influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree required; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
• Typically requires 3 - 5+ years prior experience, with practical knowledge of job area.

Experience Required:

• Fraud investigation and remediation experience
• Strong customer service and victim support skills
• Experience handling fraud recovery and resolution
• Comfortable managing difficult or sensitive conversations
• Call center or high-volume customer interaction experience
• Strong communication and de-escalation skills
• Financial institution or banking experience preferred
• Executive/escalated complaint resolution experience, such as Office of the President
• Empathy, sound judgment, and professionalism
• Ability to balance fraud risk with a positive customer experience.
