About the Role

This is a field-based role for someone who thrives in operational environments, builds trust quickly with business owners, and genuinely enjoys helping restaurants perform at their best. As a Franchise Business Consultant, you'll manage a portfolio of El Jannah franchise restaurants, providing structured coaching, operational reviews, and commercial support that drives consistent performance across the network. You'll be the primary point of contact for your Franchise Partners, working closely with them to hit KPI benchmarks, maintain brand and food safety standards, and build the leadership capability of their teams. You'll also play a key role in new restaurant openings, leading the cross-functional coordination that ensures every new site launches to the El Jannah standard. What You'll Be Doing

  • Conducting structured business reviews and operational audits across your portfolio of franchise restaurants
  • Coaching Franchise Partners on financial performance including labour management, COGS control, and guest service delivery
  • Conducting regular compliance visits to identify and resolve gaps in food safety, hygiene, WHS, and brand standards
  • Building strong, trusted relationships with Franchise Partners that position you as a credible operational partner invested in their success
  • Leading new restaurant opening coordination, managing cross-functional readiness across training, stock, systems, IT, and marketing
  • Monitoring early performance post-opening and confirming operational handover readiness
  • Identifying training and capability gaps across your portfolio and connecting Franchise Partners and Restaurant Managers to the right L&D programs
  • Supporting the rollout of operational improvement initiatives across the network
  • Maintaining accurate records of visits, action plans, and performance data, and contributing to regular reporting

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years in operational leadership within QSR, hospitality, or retail
  • Previous experience working in a franchised environment strongly preferred
  • Experience managing or supporting multi-site teams and new store openings
  • Strong understanding of operational KPIs including COGS, labour, compliance, and guest experience metrics
  • A confident coach and communicator who builds trusted relationships at all levels of the business
  • Commercial mindset with a genuine focus on execution and outcomes
  • Structured and detail-oriented, you follow through, close the loop, and keep your portfolio moving forward
  • Someone who genuinely enjoys travel and gets energy from being out in the field, not behind a desk
  • Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel regularly across the national network
  • Bachelor of Business or related field preferred
  • Certificate IV in Training & Assessment desirable but not essential
