The Mission

The NFR Hubs Romania team is an integral part of ING’s Non-Financial Risk domain. The teamis responsible forensuring consistent implementation of NFR frameworks, policies, and procedures, while fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment within the hubs.

The team focuses onmaintainingand enhancing the NFR Framework including the key NFR global procedures andNFRrelatedpolicies, supporting ING’s global risk managementobjectives, and ensuring user-friendly processes for internal stakeholders.

Your day to day

As an F&P NFR Specialist, you willbe responsible for

  • Support the NFR Framework &Policies(F&P) team by taking responsibility for assigned tasks and contributing to the team’s goals.

  • Work closely with colleagues to help deliver teamobjectivesefficiently, focusing on risk-basedapproachesandassistinginmaintainingaccuratekey processes and internal control documents.

  • Participate in discussions with senior stakeholders torepresentthe NFR F&P team, as needed.

  • Assist ODCR in the implementation of global procedures and processes, ensuring local compliance and understanding.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of risk management practices within the organization by sharing insights and supporting process enhancements.

  • Show initiative and a willingness to learn,demonstratingownership of assigned responsibilities and delivering results even in challenging situations.

  • Apply foundational knowledge of non-financial risk,utilizeanalytical skills, and develop effective relationships with internal stakeholders.

  • Work independently on assigned tasks, take initiative when opportunities arise, and support change initiatives to help the team achieve high-quality outcomes.

  • Gain experience in policy and procedure development and build a strong understanding of NFRmethodologythrough hands-on involvement.

  • Play a supportive role in strengthening ING’s non-financial risk management capabilities and helpmaintainregulatory compliance through diligent work.

Specific Tasks

  • Maintaining and updating the documents / activities you are made responsible for (e.g.NFRpolicies,NFRprocedures, frameworks) in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders (e.g.RiskCoEs, ODCR, NFR PMR, other risk domains)

  • RepresentingNFR F&P in (senior) stakeholder discussions

  • Engaging with relevant stakeholders (e.g.ODCR, RiskCoEs) on the implementation approach for global NFR processes / procedures

  • Responding to ad hoc requests from ECB or internal stakeholders

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to resolve escalated issues

  • Contributing to committees and forums (e.g.NFRCs, MTs)

Whatyou’llbring to the team

  • University/Post Graduate (Master’s) Degree
  • Knowledge of Non-Financial Risk Management Framework, governance and methodology including related processes, controls and relevant regulations (e.g. EBA, ECB);
  • Experience in writing policy, procedures and other relevant internal control documents across NFR and / or related domains
  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing expert competence; of which c. 3 years in Non-Financial Risk or related field, preferably in the banking
  • Good analytical, problem-solving, and delivery skills
  • Sound stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Strong communication, presentation, and coordination capabilities
  • Ability to work across geographies
