Job Description

The Framer is responsible for branding, framing, inspecting and preparing product for treatment.

Principal Responsibilities
• General labour - processing/manufacturing wood products
• Operate chainsaw, hand tools, tag, clean and prepare products
• Operate mill equipment
• Banding/packaging
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies and work areas.
• Working outside in all weather conditions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Core Competencies
• Manufacturing or construction experience preferred
• Experience utilizing hand tools-drills, peaveys, chainsaws, wizards, hammers, tape measures etc.
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Always demonstrate a strong focus on safety.
• Support a respectful environment and works well in a team setting.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Ability to lift 50-75lbs continually.
• Knowledge of wood products and defects.
• Able to learn and acquire new skills.
• Additional forestry skills such as log scaling, loader operator, log peeling and other machine operations will be valuable assets in progressing to other positions in the yard.
• In house training is provided.
