Digital capabilities are becoming a strategic imperative for CHANEL Japan Fragrance & Beauty Products Division to enable deeper 360° orchestration and brand communication. As consumer expectations and digital touchpoints rapidly evolve, establishing a solid digital marketing expertise is essential to strengthen brand presence, enhance customer engagement, and support business growth in an increasingly competitive market environment.

It is important to increase both market share and brand equity at CHANEL.

To achieve both, it is necessary to have a fundamental understanding of fragrance and beauty products and Japan market as well as a deep understanding of the brand.

At Chanel, brand equity is an important metric, and product marketing strategy should be built to emphasize CHANEL brand singularity throughout products which also respond to market needs. As CHANEL is a human driven company, ensuring to collaborate with other Marketing teams, Sales, Education, Quality Control, Studio, PR as well as corporate teams such as Media, Digital, Logistics and IT. It is essential to build a beneficial network internally to ensure smooth operations.

III. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES: Based on above

Impact at CHANEL

Digital Marketing Coordinator/Specialist supports the Division on all Digital related projects directed at maximizing Sales and elevating brand image. This position will lead to empowering, facilitating and communicating with all stakeholders to enable deeper 360° orchestration. This role consists in planning campaigns and implementing digital marketing projects, aiming at achieving business results. The content covers Owned Media Platform and Digital Tools for Office and Point of Sales. Communication is key to anticipating and resolving issues.

Major responsible and requirements are following:

  • Contribute to build up the Digital Marketing Strategy in FBP division

  • Lead Digital Promotional Activities, closely collaborating with different stakeholders to ensure successful implementation and report on results

  • Co-work with all departments and be the main contact person for MI&C (Executions on Social Media and eDM will be under MI&C)

  • Be responsible for driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and support e-business from marketing standpoint

  • Handle OAB, digital applications, event applications, LINEWORKS for BCs

  • Develop and improve in-Store Digital Services

  • Conduct BTQ training / support

  • Lead digital projects end-to-end, from local needs assessment to delivery, including planning, execution, analysis, and optimization

  • Maintain knowledge of trends in the market and competitors’ strategy

  • Feed Head Office with insights/trends on local business needs through analysis and reports

  • Minimum of 3 years in working for Luxury, Fashion or Concierge service etc

  • Requires to have an in-depth understanding of the marketing mix focusing on digital and clients.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong knowledge of digital marketing.

  • Understanding and mastering the excellence and requirements of the world of Luxury

  • Flexibility to travel

  • Japanese required, advanced proficiency in English (equivalent to TOEIC score of about 800)
