Who we are:

EBG MedAustron is a cancer treatment and research centre in Wiener Neustadt that is unique in Austria. MedAustron uses ion therapy, an innovative form of radiation therapy, in the fight against cancer.

We offer a unique working environment built around the particle accelerator used for therapy and research with protons and carbon ions. We have set ourselves the goal of prolonging the lives of cancer patients and improving their quality of life.

As a FPGA Developer, you will play a central role in our specialised System Implementation Group and have the unique opportunity to work on the FPGA development for particle accelerators. You will work in a meaningful environment where your expertise will contribute directly to the further development of our technology and ultimately to improving the quality of life of our patients.

FPGA Developer (f/m/x)

A job where you can make a difference:

• FPGA development (VHDL Xilinx Vivado, Modelsim)
• Analogue and digital hardware design (Altium Designer,
  LTSpice)
• Software Development (C/C++)
• Testing, Data Analysis (Matlab, Simulink, Python)
• Documentation (requirement engineering, test definition and reporting, Architecture & Design)
• Interest in power electronics
• Working in laboratory environments

Skills that make you our strength:

• Technical university degree in one of the following fields: Embdedded System Development or Electronic Design
• Professional experience in Electronics Design advantageous
• Profound knowledge in C / C++ desireable
• Experience with Matlab, Simulink and Python is an advantage
• Fluency in verbal and written English; German is an advantage
• Willingness to work on call
• Willingness to work in shifts
• Intercultural competence paired with a hands-on mentality
• You are a team player with an independent and structured approach to work

For legal reasons, we are obliged to point out that the minimum gross annual salary for this position is € 46,200 with a willingness to pay above the standard rate, depending on professional qualifications and experience.
