About the job

As an Inventory Valuation Analyst PL you will play a vital role between stakeholders in the Finance and Operational organizations. You will be responsible for taking steps to ensure that inventory valuation is adequately monitored, controlled and recorded at the Group consolidated level. You will work closely with multiple stakeholders in the business (supply chain, FP&A, Financial Reporting and GSS) to ensure proper data quality and communication on relevant topics. Furthermore, you are passionate about data analysis, generating insights and working on solutions to achieve tangible process enhancements.

This role has significant exposure to senior stakeholders at Group level as this is an area of particular focus for the Group in managing its working capital.

In addition, your tasks will include

  • Supporting the team and the Group in the month end finance closing through inventory valuation processes and reporting based on IAS 2 standards.
  • Provide business support, training and identifying process improvements.
  • Performing accounting transactions, as well as balance sheets and profit/loss statements.
  • Working on SAP cross-module projects (PP/SD/MM).
  • Ensure inventory valuation reporting data quality through collaboration with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Liaise with FP&A, costing teams, IT and other stakeholders on implementing ad hoc projects.
  • Supporting the stock reconciliations and co-ordination of worldwide annual inventory count.
  • Ensuring new acquisitions processes, costing and inventory valuation are aligned to those of the Group.

What we expect from you in terms of

Education

  • University degree in the field of Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or IT;
  • Good knowledge of Accounting and IFRS;
  • A high-tech affinity and strong expertise in SAP and MS Office (Excel, Power Point, Power BI, Teams);
  • Robust financial skills and understanding of business processes;
  • Communication and collaboration within a team;
  • Ability to prioritize.

Languages

English – Proficient/Fluent;

Any other language is considered as an asset.

Work Experience

Relevant working experience in:

  • Accounting / Inventory valuation and Cost Accounting in Mining or Manufacturing
