Job Description
Compensation: $100,000 to $125,000 annually
On-site Location: Scottsdale, AZ
The FP&A Manager will act as a key liaison between internal stakeholders, bridging financial planning, analysis, and operational execution. This role oversees day-to-day FP&A operations while supporting senior management through budgeting, forecasting, modeling, and performance analysis.
In addition to core FP&A responsibilities, this role emphasizes operational efficiency, scalable processes, and the thoughtful use of modern analytics and AI-assisted tools to improve insight quality, speed, and decision-making. The FP&A Manager translates financial data into clear, actionable recommendations that drive cost efficiency, profitability, and alignment with overall business objectives.

- Acting as a trusted business partner to department leaders and senior leadership, helping them understand the financial impact of their decisions
- Driving cost discipline, operational efficiency, and sustainable profitability
OBJECTIVES
- Drive financial management, planning, systems, and controls for assigned internal stakeholders
- Partner with accounting to understand the financial implications of process or organizational changes
- Conduct working sessions with key stakeholders to understand the operational application of structural or strategic changes
- Manage budgeting, revenue forecasting, and financial review processes for assigned Cardone Ventures departments
- Develop and maintain financial models supporting short-term and long-range planning
- Improve FP&A workflows through automation, reporting enhancements, and AI-assisted analysis where appropriate
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting packages with clear insights for senior leadership
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to non-financial stakeholders
- Monitor performance against budget and forecast, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities
- Collaborate with department leaders to define, track, and refine KPIs and financial metrics
- Mentor and develop junior FP&A team members, fostering ownership and continuous improvement
- Navigate NetSuite reporting, understanding data sources, structure, and downstream financial impact
- Leverage reporting and analytics tools to surface insights and improve decision velocity
COMPETENCIES
- Strong understanding of Cardone Ventures’ business model and operational structure
- Ability to connect revenue, profitability, and operational drivers to financial outcomes
- Sound judgment and decision-making supported by financial models and data
- Working knowledge of the month-end close process and accounting impacts on financial reporting
- Ability to develop complex financial models, budgets, and reporting packages
- Strong analytical skills across P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements
- Understanding of departmental budgets and role-based cost structures, including incentive design
- Ability to facilitate actionable dashboards and performance reporting for leadership
- Understanding of cash versus accrual accounting and the implications of transitioning between the two
- Advanced-intermediate proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets, including efficiency-driving formulas and workflows
- Comfort using AI-enabled tools to assist with analysis, forecasting, reporting, or process improvement
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Advanced degree preferred but not required
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or related roles, preferably in a consulting or high-growth environment
